「strike the iron while it is hot」はいわゆる「鉄は熱いうちに打て」だけど、英英辞書の説明（when you have an oppotunity to do something, do it before you lose chance）が示すように「チャンスを逃さないうちに利用しよう」っていうニュアンスが強い。「やるなら今よ」、みたいな。
This is the best time in the last 10 years to buy a house. Strike while the iron is hot. 家を購入するのにここ10年で今が一番いい時だ。チャンスは逃すなよ。
